All of these products contain GMO free starch, biodegradable polymer and other renewable resources. No polyethylene is used in the production process. BioBag products meet ASTM D6400 specifications and California Law requirements. - - - - -Trellis Earth® bags incorporate biomass to improve biodegradability -- lowering the amount of oil needed to make a trash liner or shopping bag, while helping to insure the bag will more quickly degrade in the presence of other bioactive material in a landfill. These bags do NOT conform to ASTM 6400 standard for compostability, however they contain more biomass than many that are certified by the BPI and others. Reducing our use of shopping bags, and reducing the oil per bag used, are both important goals. Trellis Earth® film products are unique in the methods by which they incorporate and polymerize plant starch, reducing the amount of oil used per bag significantly.
