Ecological Restoration

Our background and vision at EarthCentric is rooted in the practices of Ecological Restoration. We work to protect ecosystems in all that we do, and act to restore them where they have been damaged.

We work in both aquatic and terrestrial environments to restore habitat, ecological function, and resilience in response to disturbance, degradation, or changing land use. We support projects from design and planning, through implementation to follow-up monitoring and adaptive management.

Our restoration service include:

  • Restoration planning and implementation
  • GIS mapping and spatial analysis
  • Native plant revegetation
  • Erosion stabilization using vegetation-based techniques (bioengineering)
  • Riparian and wetland restoration
  • Riparian planting and buffer establishment
  • Habitat structure installation and enhancement
  • Invasive species management
  • Monitoring programs and adaptive management
  • Long-term stewardship support

This work includes habitat restoration, revegetation, and ecosystem recovery initiatives tailored to the specific conditions of each site. Projects may range from riparian and wetland restoration to upland and forested systems, with approaches grounded in ecological processes, native species, erosion control, and long-term resilience.

We work with landowners, communities, and project teams to restore function and integrity while responding to the unique challenges and opportunities present within each landscape.
